CHOICES

The speech on Friday  made see that our lives our success or failures are not determined by fate it is determined by our choices or decisions.something that really stood out to me about Ed Thomas unique life was the choice he made to be a better person even though he came from a a family where his dad was an alcoholic he choose to take a different part other than that of his dad.Most times in life we make excuses for our choices and i also learnt that most of our choices good or bad do not only affect us but the people around us ,Ed Thomas made a choice in life to be a good person and he was able to change a lot of lives and the guy who killed him Mark Becker made  a wrong choice in life and started doing drugs which left him with a mental illness which made him kill his coach he created a very big loss to his community and the Thomas family because of the choices he made .And i also admire the way the Thomas family handled the death they choose to forgive the family of the guy who murdered their dad .this made me see that we can either chose to be a success or  a failure
